Golden bezel

From the historical point of view, the bezel (or circular mandrel in French) is a sign of an exclusive watch. In early watches the bezel served as an adjustable metal holder for bearing stones which were still incomparable with modern precise stones. Thus, some insignificant deviations in the opening diameter in order to adjust the precise gearwheel mechanism can be performed easily. Taking into account modern production precision, such mandrels are mostly used to decorate the panel structure.
